Cuban President Raul Castro was welcomed at this capital's Houari Boumediene international airport by Abdelaziz Bouteflika, Head of State of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, on an official visit.

The Caribbean statesman said he feels very well meeting again with his Algerian peer, the Cuban TV prime-time newscast reported.

The welcoming ceremony took place Saturday at the airport, and later the two presidents reviewed troops, and greeted members of the Algerian government, ambassadors accredited in the country, and officials from the Cuban diplomatic representation.

Next, the Cuban and Algerian statesmen held a fraternal exchange for over half an hour, which will continue Sunday with official talks.

The Cuban delegation is also made up of Informatics and Communication Minister Ramiro Valdes Menendez, and Lieutenant General Leopoldo Cintra Frias, First Deputy Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.

Also on the list are Council of Ministers Vicepresident Ricardo Cabrisas, Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque, Minister for Foreign Investment and Economic Collaboration Rodrigo Marmierca Diaz, and Cuban ambassador to Algeria Eumelio Caballero Rodriguez.

Raul Castro's agenda today also includes laying a wreath to the monument erected to the martyrs of the Algerian Revolution, visiting the museum of the combatants, and several courtesy meetings.
