- He writes a letter in which he talks about his life in solitary and analyzes the politicking of the parties of the time. He also outlines his ideas of how revolutionary or partisan actions should be conducted: "If one day I could do something, the first thing I would do is to turn the party meetings into a real means of propaganda, indoctrination, discipline, agitation and grass-root awareness rising; casting away for good clowning and the boast of unnecessary eloquence which is what one finds everywhere these days. "
