Cuba will send a delegation of youth to the world final contest of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM - ICPC) to be held in St. Petersburg, Russia, the University of Havana authorities reported in this capital today.
According to the institution, the group that will attend the event is composed of a team from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Havana, and another group from the University of Computer Sciences.
Both teams won the Caribbean regional tournament in November 2012, and they will participate in the world final, starting June 30 through July 4.
The contest is sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery, and this is the most important international computer programming event in the field of higher education. The World Finals are held annually since 1977.
