Fidel and Raul Send Message of Salutation to Cuban Workers in Nicaragua
A message of salutation by Revolution leader Fidel Castro and President Raul Castro was conveyed to Cuban collaborators currently working in Nicaragua by Vice-president Esteban Lazo Hernandez, who is attending commemorations in Managua for the 30th anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution.

A message of salutation by Revolution leader Fidel Castro and President Raul Castro was conveyed to Cuban collaborators currently working in Nicaragua by Vice-president Esteban Lazo Hernandez, who is attending commemorations in Managua for the 30th anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution.
The message brought special rejoicing for the Cuban workers, including 80 education professionals who helped Nicaragua become the fourth country of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of our America (ALBA) free of illiteracy, PL news agency reports.
During a meeting with the Cuban workers at the island´s embassy in Managua, Vice-president Lazo exchanged with doctors, teachers and other specialists, who are offering their services in the Central American nation.
Lazo was interested in learning about the advancement of the free eye surgery program known as Miracle Operation, the work being undertaken by Cuban doctors backing the health care program launched by President Daniel Ortega and the results and experience of the national literacy campaign, among other aspects.
The top government Cuban official also spoke with the children of Cuban diplomats in Managua and at the request of Fidel Castro, he also asked about their student activity in Nicaragua. Esteban Lazo headed the Cuban delegation to 30th anniversary of the triumph of the Sandinista Revolution.
