Raúl participates in meeting with Angolan defense minister

PRESIDENT Raúl Castro participated yesterday morning (Aug. 7) in the meeting between Army Corps General Julio Casas Regueiro, Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) and Angolan Defense Minister General Candido Pereira Dos Santos Van Dunem, who arrived in Cuba on August 2 in response to an invitation from his Cuban counterpart.
Geovani FernándezDuring the talks, which took place in the cordial and friendly climate characteristic of the links between the two nations, the two Defense Ministers signed a document outlining ways of strengthening and increasing cooperation between the two armed forces.
Also present on the Cuban side was Army Corps General Leopoldo Cintra Frías, Deputy Minister of the FAR.
Since his arrival in Cuba, General Pereira Dos Santos and his accompanying delegation have visited FAR military units, economic entities and higher educational institutions.
