The president of the Socialist Party-Broad Front of Ecuador, Fabian Solano, reaffirmed today the admiration and support to the Cuban Revolution, saying that "Havana''s enemies are also our enemies."
The political leader stated that the relations with the Caribbean island are historic and close, and said this project is an example for the left-wing party of Ecuador and Latin America.
In statements to Prensa Latina, Solano stressed how this country has achieved overcoming the restriction imposed by the economic, trade and financial blockade maintained by the United States for more that 50 years.
Solano announced that a delegation of the Party will shortly travel to Cuba to express support and learn from past experiences.
This socialist group, the most ancient group of Ecuador, is preparing to participate in the Sao Paulo Forum, to be run in Bolivia by late August, he noted.
Faced with those called weak coups, aimed at destabilizing the progressive governments of the region, the left wing's commitment is to keep united and alert to ensure the continuity of the revolutionary processes.
