Medical students in Guinea Bissau will send a message to US President Barack Obama demanding the release of the antiterrorist Cuban Five unjustly held in US prisons more than 10 years ago.
The future doctors, studying at the Raul Diaz Argüelles Faculty highlight in their message that Cuba is victim of more than 50 years of criminal actions organized in US.
The Five were trying to prevent terrorist acts from happening, the document reads.
The message, to which Prensa Latina had access, also affirms US President must know the injustice committed in this case.
Rene Gonzalez, Antonio Guerrero, Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labañino and Fernando Gonzalez are serving harsh sentences for alerting for alerting Cuba on terrorist plans plotted by exiled groups settled in Florida.
US Supreme Court rejected to review the Case of the Five, despite the actions carried out worldwide in support of their release from attorneys and dozens of celebrities, including Nobel Peace Prize winners.
