Via Videoconference, Cuban, US Experts Discuss US Blockade

Cuban and American experts will discuss today via videoconference between Havana and Washington the damage caused by the U.S. blockade on Cuba in the economic and financial sector.

The videoconference will be broadcast live by Cubavision Internacional channel, and may be followed at the website www.cubavsbloqueo.cu.

The UN General Assembly will present on October 28 the Cuban report about Resolution 68/8 of the UN entitled "Necessity of Ending the Economic, Commercial and Financial Blockade Imposed by the United States of America against Cuba."

That political genocide, whose purpose is to cause "hunger, desperation and overthrow of the Cuban government," has caused to the island losses for more than one trillion dollars, despite the reduction in the price of gold compared with the previous year.

A similar initiative presented by Cuba last year, for the 22nd consecutive year, was supported by 188 of 193 members of the organization.
