Raúl receives Uruguayan Vice President-elect

Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, on the afternoon of January 22, received Raúl Fernando Sendic Rodríguez, vice president-elect of Uruguay. During the meeting, the excellent relations of friendship and collaboration between the two governments and peoples were reaffirmed, and a variety of issues on the international agenda were discussed.
 
Also participating were Cuban First Vice President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla. During his stay in Cuba, Sendic additionally held working meetings with Esteban Lazo, president of the National Assembly of People’s Power; Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla; Antonio Carricarte Corona, at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment; as well as José Ramón Balaguer Cabrera, head of the Communist Party of Cuba’s International Relations Department.
