Cuba and the US signed an agreement Friday for operational cooperation to fight drug trafficking, said the website of the Cuban Foreign Relations (MINREX).
The press note said the signing of the agreement was Thursday, during the third technical meeting on drug fighting between Cuban and American entities.
The text added that the meeting was held in a respectful climate of professionalism, and the parts coincided in the usefulness of the talks.
The Cuban and US representatives agreed to maintain the conversations in the future.
According to the Cuban general manager of the United States for Minrex, Josefina Vidal, the signature this Thursday raises to 11 the total of agreements reached between Washington and Havana during the last eight months as part of the process towards the standardization of the bilateral relations.
