On the day of his 79th birthday and in celebration of the birthday of René González, Fidel meets with the relatives of the Cuban Five who are imprisoned in the United States. This meeting took place at the time the three judges of the Atlanta Appellate Court released their decision annulling the legal validity of the trial that had taken place in Miami, for the reason that Miami was not an impartial location to hold the five Cubans’ trial.
