[...] every force, every weapon, every strategy and every tactic has its antithesis borne of the inexhaustible intelligence and awareness of those who fight for a just cause.”
“We have to make the brain cells work if we want to build consciences, so necessary in today’s complex world.”
“What the people in our country need most is knowledge, if what we want to do is create conscience.”
“The Americas is far too much on guard to be subdued again. These peoples have become all too aware of their destiny to resign themselves again to the subjugation and wretched abjection in which we have been living for more than a century”.
“The most sophisticated technology they employ to try to turn us into slaves or subjects of a universal imperial power are not and never will be able to defeat the conscience and intelligence of human beings.”
"(...) it is truly laudable, the degree of integrity which has evolved in this country, the civic-mindedness of this people, the discipline of this people, the spirit of this people; really, I'm proud of the entire people, I have tremendous faith in the people of Cuba. It's worthwhile, making sacrifices for this people".
"What we need to do is carry forward a united struggle. We have to work together to create a consciousness, to sow ideas."
"Prevailing conditions in the world today make this infamous order we are enduring unsustainable. As the most visionary of the sons of this island, Jose Marti, said: "Today’s dreams will be tomorrow’s realities".
"We are living times where awareness on afflicting realities is lagging behind events. We must sow ideas and expose deceit, sophism and hypocrisy with means and methods that counteract the institutional lies and disinformation. The experience of 40 years of slanders falling on Cuba like heavy rain has taught us to trust the instinct and intelligence of the peoples."
