- Farewell to Commander Ernesto Ché Guevara at José Martí International Airport, before Che’s trip to Spain, Egypt, Iraq, Sudan, Indonesia, Ghana, Pakistan, India, Japan and Morocco, to arrange the opening of new markets for Cuban products.
- Swearing-in ceremony of the new ministers at the Presidential Palace, where he declared: “The Government is as solid as a rock and respected by both the big and the small.”
- Speech delivered at the Gastronomy Trade Unions Assembly held in the Workers’ Palace Theater.
