  • First Revolutionary Plenary Session of the National Federation of Sugarcane Workers, held at the Workers’ Palace Theater, where Fidel delivered a speech and said: “(In those days), everyone wanted a revolution in accordance with his thinking, that is, some wanted a false revolution, as always, and others wanted a true revolution such as we had never had.”
  • Launching of the “Protect the sugarcane harvest!” slogan, in the face of sabotage threats posed by internal counterrevolution against sugar-cane plantations.
