- At 1:00 a.m.of that day, a Tuesday, Fidel and his entourage return to Cuba from Maiquetía Airport at the end of their historic visit to Venezuela. In a surprise crash at the airport, dies Commander Paco Cabrera, beaten by the propellers of an airplane.
- Return to the Homeland, after the trip to Venezuela, the first one after the Triumph of the Revolution.
