After seven weeks of fruitful work in the United States organizing Cuban emigration, he returned to Mexico City by midday, flying via Nassau. He brought with him the draft of the “Manifesto No. 2 of 26 July Movement to the Cuban People”, dated 10 December in Nassau. It urged the humble Cuban emigrant majority to organize themselves to intervene in the Cuban political scenario and invited them to become an active part of the revolutionary process.
Since he returned to Mexico, he moved to apartment No. 5 in the building of Ramón Guzmán 5, previously rented under the name of Juan Manuel Márquez.
