  • He participates together with Haydee Santamaría, Melba Hernández, Luis Bonito Milián, Ñico López, Pedro Miret, José Suárez Blanco, Pedro Celestino Aguilera, Armando Hart and Faustino Pérez in the establishment of the National Leadership of the July 26th Revolutionary Movement in the house located in Factoria street Nomber 62, between Apodaca and Corrales, Old Havana Section. During the meeting the decision is made that given the circumstances in Cuba, Fidel must leave for Mexico with part of the movement’s leadership to prepare a group of men with which the armed struggle against the dictatorship would begin.
