Attends a lunch hosted by the American Association of Newspapers Owners during a visit to the United States, at the Slatler Hilton Hotel. Before the Press Editors Association he delivers a speech where he chastises the imposition of the Platt Amendment and the inequity of the justice treaty imposed to Cuba.
