The Algerian television, radio and main newspapers have being widely covered the second visit to this country of Cuban President Raul Castro.
El Moujahid daily headlined "President Bouteflika and the Cuban President carry out a first meeting," Granma newspaper reported Tuesday.
Raul Castro has already visited officially Algeria in February, where he held an extensive working agenda with his Algerian peer.
In a brief encounter with the Algerian and Cuban press, the Cuban statesman said he is very satisfied with results of the current visit, greeted the "beloved Algerian people," stating that "the friendship between Algeria and Cuba keep on being indestructible as 50 years ago."
Raul Castro leads the island's delegation to the 15th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, taking place at the Egyptian beach resort of Sharm El-Sheikh.
Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdes Menendez, Lieutenant General Leopoldo Cintra Frias, both members of the Political Bureau, and Council of Ministers Vicepresident Ricardo Cabrisas accompany the Cuban president.
