The Bolivian daily Cambio celebrated the 50th birthday of the Prensa Latina News Agency.
Writer and Journalist Stella Calloni reminded of the 50 years of events where "more than an alternative media beloved Prela embodied resistance and broad solidarity."
The daily also said that government Vice President Esteban Lazo said in Havana that this Latin American news agency will keep spreading a world vision of freedom and anti-hegemony.
The historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro and Cuban-Argentinian Ernesto Che Guevara decided to create Prensa Latina that began fighting world media monopolies on June 16, 1959.
