Bolivia President, Evo Morales, arrived in Cuba today on an official visit, to review the current state of bilateral relations and assess options aimed at expanding cooperation between the two nations.
The president was received at the Jose Marti International Airport in Havana by First Vice President of the Council of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez.
According to the agenda, Morales will pay tribute to Cuban National Hero, Jose Marti, at the Revolution Square today afternoon and hold talks with President, Raul Castro.
As part of his stay here, the Bolivian president will be awarded with the Jose Marti Order, the highest distinction bestowed by the Cuban Council of State, and develop other activities.
Shortly before traveling to this country, Morales stated that he will analyze ideas and new programs for the integration of Latin America and the Caribbean.
He also stressed the figure and teachings of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, to whom he described as the most solidarity man in the world.
He also acknowledged the assistance provided by Havana to the South American nation, despite the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States.
