Canadian journalist and writer Keith Bolender denounced in Toronto the U.S. terrorist actions and hostile policy against Cuba since the triumph of the Revolution in 1959.
Bolender offered a lecture titled: "Cuba under siege: the U.S. policy, the Revolution and its people", giving details about the history of the economic, financial and commercial blockade Washington has imposed on Cuba for over 50 years, a press note of Cubaâ�Ös embassy in Canada noted.
The Canadian journalist also mentioned the several terrorist attacks organized and financed by the U.S. government against Cuba for the last five decades.
Bolender explained Cubaâ�Ös need to defend from the constant aggression and presented the truth of the Five case, who have been imprisoned in the United States since 1998 for preventing violent actions from occurring in Cuba.
Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Fernando González and Antonio Guerrero face serious sentences for monitoring terrorist groups based in Miami, from where attacks have been planned such as those that have killed over 3,400 people in the last 53 years.
Bolender also mentioned the human rights violations and the irregularities committed during the trials of those men, known as the Five worldwide.
The lecture took place last Tuesday sponsored by Canadaâ�Ös International Council, a non-governmental organization that promotes dialogue and research on global issues.
