Canary Island's President Paulino Rivero is starting on Monday meetings with Cuban leaders to boost bilateral links.
Rivero arrived in Cuba on Sunday night, paying an invitation by the Cuban government, the main news shows and dailies of this country reported.
The visitor, who is on a tour that includes Costa Rica, is expected to meet also with Canary residents in Cuba.
