Cartoons to Cuban National Poet at Book Fair in Havana

An unprecedented anthology with images by Cuban National Poet Nicolas Guillen will be launched during the International Book Fair, starting February 12 thru 22 in this capital.
 
The volume is entitled "Guillen segun Posada" (Guillen according to Posada), by Ediciones La Memoria, consists of 39 cartoons made by illustrator and engraver Jose Luis 'el Gallego' Posada.
 
According to Victor Casaus, director of the Pablo de la Torriente Cultural Center, the text also compiles the elegies written by Guillen, author of precursor books such as "Motivos del Son" and "Songoro Consongo."
 
Such center, which defends the work of a legend of journalism and internationalism in Cuba, will also launch other five books, two of them linked to the seventh art in this country.
 
This is a biographic work about documentary maker Oscar Valdes, written by Ana Busquet, and the memories by Maria Elena Molinet related to Estrella Diaz, entitled "Diseño de una vida" (Design of a life).
