China and Cuba described as successful the relations and exchanges in the legal sphere, and called for improving judicial bodies, the Caribbean island''s embassy here told Prensa Latina today.
The president of Cuba's People's Supreme Court, Ruben Remigio Ferro, complied with an intensive working program from June 24 to 30, during his official visit to this nation, and was welcomed by his peer Zhou Qiang, the Havana embassy here stated.
In the headquarter of the Supreme People's Court of China here, both sides stressed the close friendship between the two peoples, and discussed the excellent state of cooperation relations between the judicial bodies.
They agreed that the judicial system of each country should continuously improve according to its own characteristics but with the common objective of doing justice on behalf of the people, and thus contributing to legal security and the preservation and development of both socialist societies.
The meeting was used to recall the State visit by the President Xi Jinping to Cuba in 2014 and its importance to strengthening bilateral ties, to which also contributed the exchange between the legal sector of the two states.
As part of the program, both officials also held meetings and exchanged experiences on legal issues with the highest authorities of the National Academy of Judges from this Asian nation and courts of different entities in Beijing, Chengdu and Sichuan.
