Cuba and Vietnam Update Collaboration

Cuba and Vietnam updated aspects from their respective relations in the scientific technical field, during a meeting with Cuban Minister Elba Rosa Perez with her Vietnamese counterpart Chu Ngoc Anh, in the start of a vidsit by a Cuban delegation.
 
Both ministers, had a conversation in a working session centered in developing these links. In statements to Prensa Latina after the talks, the Cuban Minister of Science, Technology and Environment assured that the basic objective of the visit of the Cuban delegation here, is to sign a memorandum for the collaboration. "We have proposed topics, some of them new, which we can work out at short, medium, or in long terms," she stated.
 
Perez added that therecently celebrated 7th Congress of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC) defined strategic guidelines, and included two of them related to science, technology and environment.
 
Perez added that Cuba is interested in knowing the Vietnamese achievements, and their successes.
 
The content of collaboration is determined by the programs in biotechnology, the biopharmaceutical industry, nano-science and nano-technology, by-products and others.
 
Also, results applied to public health, industry and trade, technological parks, compuer science amd telecommunication.
 
This time, Perez explained some aspects to her counterpart on the celebration of the 1st International Science, Teechnology and Innovation in Havana, at the end of October, an event to which she invited her counterpart and Vietnamese investigators.
 
Ngoc Anh recognized the relations as positive and highlighted the Cuban achievements, also statting that Cuba and Vietnam, have a lot of potential to foster collaboration.
 
The program includes conversations with Vietnamese Natural Reources and Environment Minister Tran Hong Ha and the experts from the local Academy of Science and Technology.
