Assistant director of Care for Cuban Residents Abroad, Tomas Lorenzo, the Association of Cuban Residents in Ecuador (Acure), and members of the diplomatic mission in Quito, discussed here today issues of common interests.
During the meeting held at the Havana diplomatic mission in Quito, the sides exchanged criteria about sensible issues linked to the Cuban diaspora in the South American nation.
Acure, as an organization with long career, work and prestige, has a strength in the political and human relations established throughout history by both nations, the group's president, Luis Alberto Ruiz Saavedra, stated.
The artist called to multiply actions to establish a network and link and visualize all Cubans worldwide.
Ruiz Saavedra demonstrated Acure's commitment with the Homeland, as representatives of them in this country and defending their interests.
He said the Cuban colony in Ecuador has about 6,000 members, and many of them are Acure members.
