Fernando Hernandez, Wilfredo Leon and Rolando Cepeda head the Cuban success 25-19, 25-18, 24-26 and 25-20 with which they took revenge for the defeat in the first match with South American champions in the qualifying round.
This is the second time a Cuban team reaches a world final in this category; the first time was in the 1987 event in Bahrain in which they were defeated by South Korea in the challenge for the gold medal.
