Cuban and Angolan cardiologists hold sessions today in this capital, to implement preventive actions of heart diseases and to encourage scientific exchange among those professionals.
The event, taking place at the Institute of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery in Havana, is attended by students, residents, and specialists from both nations.
The meeting is part of the activities of the 8th National Workshop on Interventional Cardiology, bringing together for two days delegates from all Cuban cardiology centers.
The program includes a group of master lectures, roundtable discussions, functioning of commissions and issues in poster about the treatment of the leading cause of death worldwide: cardiovascular diseases.
The winners of the National Interventional Cardiology will be awarded today.
