Cuban National Ballet will have an intense work during the rest of the year, with a tour through Europe, to begin in September and conclude in November in Genova, Italy, announced Prima Ballerina Absoluta, Alicia Alonso.
"El lago de los cisnes", "Giselle", "Don Quijote" and "La magia de la danza" are among the performances selected by the prima ballerina assoluta to be presented. "The audience abroad always asks for the Classic Ballets", she said.
Cuban Ballet Company will begin performances coming Sept. 9 at Compac Gran Via Theater, in Madrid, where they will present 11 consecutive nights of performances.
Their tour through in Spain also includes squares in Galicia, Castilla-La Mancha, Salamanca, Burgos, Santander, Granada, Bilbao, La Rioja and Pamplona.
