Cuban band Buena Fe will give a concert on Thursday, October 16, to pay a musical tribute to Cuban cinema, after its recent successful performance in Miami despite extremist attempts at a boycott.

Israel Rojas, vocalist and leader of the group he founded together with Yoel Martinez, stated that the concert will be also dedicated to those with a great love for the work of Cuban leader Jose Marti.

The capital's Lazaro Peña Theater will be the venue for the October 20 concert, conceived as a celebration of Cuban Culture Day, the 146th anniversary of the country's national anthem.

The concert will also pay tribute to indispensable faces of Cuban cinema, such as Reinaldo Miravalles, and Consuelo Vidal, her partner in the classic film "Los pájaros tirándole a la escopeta."
