Cuban FM in Estoril for Ibero American Summit

Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodriguez, arrived at this Portuguese city, to attend the 19th Ibero American Summit of heads of state and government, to start on Monday.
This Sunday will take place the meeting at FM level. Representatives of 19 Latin American countries, Spain, Portugal and Andorra examined on Satuday the documents to be presented to the highest level officials of Ibero America.
The meeting of coordinators was prior to the session of the Foreign Ministers of the 22 nations represented in this forum, who will ready the contents to be debated by the dignataries between Monday and Tuesday.
During those two days will meet the annual Ibero American meeting of heads of state and government in Estoril, located about 15 miles from Lisbon, which on this opportunity will have as central topic, Innovation and Knowledge.
The closing ceremony scheduled for Tuesday at the Hotel Cascais Miragem, venue of the Summit, it is expected that the heads of state and government approve the Estoril Declaration, focused on that issue proposed by Portugal as host of the summit.
The statesmen will also give green light to the Plan of Action for 2010, which will include new decisions on the Alliance of Civilizations and the issues on gender and equality, migrations
and industrial property.
The top ranking officials will also approve several communiques on regional and international issues, some already dealt with in previous summits, as Argentinean sovereignty over the Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas), the fight against terrorism and the US blockade on Cuba.
