The International Music Record Fair Cubadisco 2009 opens today with an awarding ceremony at Havana´s Karl Marx Theater. This year the event is dedicated to the relationship between music and children and with Puerto Rico as guest country.

The International Music Record Fair Cubadisco 2009 opens today with an awarding ceremony at Havana´s Karl Marx Theater. This year the event is dedicated to the relationship between music and children and with Puerto Rico as guest country.
The fair, which runs until next May 24, will be officially inaugurated with a gala by the Cuban Symphonic Orchestra at the Amadeo Roldan Theater on Sunday. The program includes the participation of Puerto Rican artists and Cuban music bands in different scenarios in the Cuban capital, such as culture halls, theaters and neighborhoods.
The Fair will close Sunday 24 with a gala by the Cuban Symphonic Orchestra and popular Cuban and Puerto Rican artists at the Karl Marx Theater. The public will enjoy performances the National Cuban Children Choir and by singers like Cuban Omara Portuondo and Puerto Rican Danny Rivera, among other outstanding musicians.
