The Committee for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) today rejected the plans by USAID (United States Agency for International Development) with the use of Latin American to subvert social order in Cuba.
The stance of the Cuban grass-roots organization was expressed after recent revelations by the Associated Press (AP), detailing actions by the U.S. government that organized and financed through USAID the secret sending of Latin American youth with subversive purposes.
More than eight million CDR members impugn and strongly condemn the claims of destabilization, aimed at bringing about changes in our political order, the organization said in a statement.
This Revolution, which emerged from young people, continues its path with that important strength forward, convinced that it is happy but deep, and is ready for the future, the statement said, adding that 'only countless missions and subversive attempts by the U.S. government against the nation are broken dreams.'
According to accusations, youth sent by USAID, using coverage of civic health programs, carried out actions to cause political destabilization, especially aimed at promoting youth activism against the Cuban revolutionary process.
But, meanwhile USAID tries to negatively influence on the new generation of Cubans, more than 267,000 youth throughout the country assume with responsibility the conducting of the CDR organization as grassroots leaders in neighborhoods, the text stated.
