Cuban Party Plenary Assesses Management for First Half of 2014

The management of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC)''s Political Bureau over the first semester of 2014 was assessed at the Eighth Plenary Session of the Central Committee of that organization, Granma newspaper is reporting today.
According to the note, in the report presented yesterday by Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, Second Secretary of the Central Committee, the Political Bureau focused its activity on controlling the fulfillment of the agreements approved by the Sixth PCC Congress.
It also stated that through its different commissions, that entity is engaged in weekly analysis of the policies and other affairs related to the implementation of guidelines, as well as the country's main economic issues.
The Central Committee members also learned about the execution of the Economic Plan and State Budget for the first semester of this year, the daily said.
They also approved the state report of the implementation of the Guidelines of the Economic and Social Policy of the Cuban Party and Revolution from January to June of 2014, to be discussed tomorrow at the National Assembly.
