Cuban Teachers Leave Honduras

The willingness to return to Honduras to complete the teaching of basic literacy to those people, using the Yo Si Puedo, or Yes I can method was proclaimed on Saturday by the second group of Cuban collaborators that returned to their homeland.
The 54 internationalists were welcomed at the Jose Marti international airport by Education Vice minister, Doctor Rolando Formeiro, who highlighted the honorable and heroic behavior maintained by the Cubans after the coup d'etat in that country on June 28, according to the Cuban News Agency (CAN).
Ramon Lamoru, on behalf of the collaborators, repudiated the coup and ratified their willingness to continue their task, as soon as the situation allows them and Honduran constitutional President Jose Manuel Zeaya returns to power.
In statements to the CAN, Rafael Ramos, a citizen of Pinar del Rio province and sports technical supervisor, and Ileana Couto, a teacher from Guantanamo province, highlighted the support and solidarity received from the Honduran people after the military coup, and called decisive the help with their transference to the Nicaraguan border, from where they traveled to Cuba.
They also commented on the Honduran people's sadness, faced with the return of the second group of Cubans, which included teachers and sports and machinery manufacturing industry professionals.
