The Czech-Cuban Friendship Association rejected the actions against the Caribbean nation promoted by a reduced group of lawmakers in the European Parliament, diplomatic sources said on Monday.
The objective of those actions is to accumulate resolutions that would lead to cancel the dialogue between the European Union (EU) and Cuba, a communique from the Association states.
It also warns that the intention is to increase pressure on EU authorities to return to positions of confrontation and opposition to the Cuban Government.
Far from helping the Cuban people, these actions cause more economic and social damage to Cuba, the text indicates.
The Association noted that these actions take place in the European Parliament, and pointed out that the laws are respected in Cuba and citizens support their social system.
