The historic leader of Zambia’s independence, Kenneth Kaunda, met on Thursday with a visiting delegation of the Central Committee of Cuba’s Communist Party (PCC).
The Caribbean delegation is headed by Rodolfo Puente Ferro, coordinator of the Sub-Saharan Africa Section of the Foreign Relations Department of the Central Committee of the PCC and president of the Africa-Cuba Friendship Association.
According to Granma news daily, the two revolutionaries spoke in a cordial and friendly environment about the history of the African peoples’ struggle for their independence, peace and development.
Kaunda, who was the first president of Zambia, sent fraternal greetings to Fidel and Raul Castro and to the Cuban people.
