IAAF Validates World Records
By the time Cuban Dayron Robles and Jamaican Usain Bolt run in Beijing they will officially be world record holders in the 110 meter hurdles and 100 meters, respectively.

By the time Cuban Dayron Robles and Jamaican Usain Bolt run in Beijing they will officially be world record holders in the 110 meter hurdles and 100 meters, respectively.
The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) sent a communiqué ratifying both world records, along with Ethiopian Dire Tune's record distance in the one-hour run, Pamela Jelimo (Kenya) in the 800 meters and Vira Rebrik (Ukraine) in the javelin.
The IAAF's regulations state that the former records remain valid until it's committee conduct a thorough analysis.
The IAAF website lists the following as world records:
