Representatives of nearly 130 political organizations from 36 countries paid tribute today to Fidel Castro, the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, whose legacy was considered as a guide to fight for a better world.
The recognition was made at the opening session of the 21st International Seminar summoned by the Workers' Party (PT) of Mexico. It was a perfect setting for debating and reaching some agreements to face what was defined as an imperial counteroffensive on a global scale.
The seminar was dedicated to the Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro, in whose memory a minute´s silence was observed.
Carlos Fonseca Teran, member of the Sandinista National Liberation Front, described the Cuban Revolution as a milestone that has paved the way for other transformative processes in Nicaragua, Venezuela and other countries.

On the other hand, Colombian ex-senator Piedad Cordoba thanked Cuba and Fidel Castro for the contribution to achieve the peace process in her country.
Jorge Arias, deputy head of the Department of International Relations of the Communist Party of Cuba, urged left-wing social movement organizations to work for unity and integration, as Fidel Castro built and practiced.
