More than 100 members of the 23rd Latin American and Caribbean Brigade prepare a cultural celebration for the evening on August 12th to wait for the 90th birthday of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro.

According to the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), activists from some 14 countries will celebrate the birthday at the International Camp Julio Antonio Mella in the western province of Artemisa, where the brigade follow a large program of activities.

"The eve of August 13th will be a solidarity and cultural party that represents the joy of friends from different continents, because the stay of this group in Cuba coincides with the date", said Idania Ramos, head of the brigade from ICAP.

Members of the Latin American and Caribbean group began their visit in Cuba last Monday when they were received by Vice President of ICAP Fernando Gonzalez.
