Panama, Dec 31 (Prensa Latina) Panama solidarity with Cuba shines Wednesday in several social organizations, in recognition of Cuban collaboration in various Panamanian sectors and the 50th anniversary of the Revolution.
The Association of Parents with Children Studying in Cuba from Chiriqui province issued a declaration highlighting Cuba's permanent support for Panama in the recovery of sovereignty over the canal.
They also referred to current programs such as Operation Miracle, medical school scholarships, sports consultancy, literacy through the Yes, I Can Method, and the energy agreement.
In addition, the document released in the capital denounced Washington's position against the five Cuban anti-terrorists unfairly imprisoned in US jails.
The association ratified the calls for the US to lift the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed on Cuba for five decades.
The group highlighted the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, and called it "an endless example for progressive world forces, and has shown that the construction of a fair, free, human society is possible."
