Cuban President Raul Castro arrived in Havana on Thursday morning after having participated in the 15th Summit of the Non Aligned Movement (NAM) in Egypt and after working visits to Algeria and Angola. Also as part of this trip to Africa, the Cuban leader paid an official visit to Namibia.
After a short technical stop in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil, Raul and his accompanying delegation were welcomed at the Jose Marti International airport in Havana early on Thursday by First VP Jose Ramon Machado Ventura and Interior Minister Abelardo Colome Ibarra.
Raul Castro wound up his working visit to Angola on Wednesday.
Before his departure, the Cuban head of state exchanged with representatives of over 2, 000 Cuban workers currently offering their services in that African nation.
During his stay in Luanda, Raul Castro held official talks with his Angolan counterpart Jose Eduardo Dos Santos.
