After concluding the 5th Round of Negotiations of the Agreement on Political Dialogue and Cooperation between Cuba and the European Union (EU), diplomatic sources highlighted that there was progress.
This time, the sides concluded the conciliation of the Agreement section on trade and cooperation in trade, and that the negotiation of the relevant aspects to cooperation and dialogue about sectorial policies was practically finished.
Regarding the chapter about political dialogue, they held an in-depth exchange of opinions that allowed to bring numerous stances closer together.
AT the same time, talks about the general, institutional and final stipulations of the draft agreement.
Thus, the sources highlighted the progress made, while they said that differences in the approaches still persist and will need that the sides work more to resolve them.
