Cuban President Raul Castro met the head of government in the Mexican Federal District, Miguel Angel Mancera, who is on a working visit to this country, according to a note released today in Granma newspaper.
During a cordial meeting, held yesterday, Raul Castro and Mancera agreed to express satisfaction for the state of the historical relations of friendship between Cuba and Mexico, and the development of collaboration projects with the Federal District, the information says.
Both statesmen also exchanged on other issues of regional and international interest, the note says.
Mancera came accompanied by General Coordinator of International Affairs of the Mexican Federal District Government, Cuauhtemoc Cardenas, Mexican ambassador to Cuba, Juan Jose Bremer de Martino, and former Michoacan governor, Lazaro Cardenas, Granma states.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra, and general director of Latin America and Caribbean department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Manuel Aguilera de la Paz, also attended the meeting.
