Cuban President Raul Castro received Archbishop Giovanni Angelo Becciu, Apostolic Nuncio, who is concluding his mission in Cuba.
Raul Castro acknowledged Archbishop Becciuâ work representing the Vatican and his contribution to strengthening the positive existing relations between Cuba and the Vatican.
Both authorities also analyzed international issues, Cuba's nightly TV news program reported on Tuesday.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and Caridad Diego, head of the Office of Religious Affairs of the Cuban Communist Party Central Committee, also attended the meeting.
