Cuban President Raul Castro saw off Hu Jintao, President of the People’s Republic of China, this Wednesday, after an “optimum visit” as Raul described it.

Cuban President Raul Castro saw off Hu Jintao, President of the People’s Republic of China, this Wednesday, after an “optimum visit” as Raul described it.
Both Presidents said their farewells on the Jose Marti International Airport’s tarmac, showing the good relationships between the two countries.
In statements to the press that gathered at the airport, Raul said that “It was a good trip with good results, like all the Chinese presidents visits, with optimum results”.
Also at the airport terminal were Cuba’s First Vice-President Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Felipe Perez Roque, among other top Cuban officials.
Zhao Rongxian, Chinese Ambassador to Cuba was present as well, along with several members of the Chinese embassy staff and a representation of the Chinese youngsters currently studying Spanish in the Caribbean nation.
Hu Jintao arrived in Cuba last Monday as part on an official visit, which included official talks with the Cuban president, a floral wreath laying to the Cuban National Hero, and a meeting with Cuban leader Fidel Castro.
