Raul Castro Sent Message to CDR Congress
Cuban President Raul Castro, who is on anofficial visit to Venezuela, sent a salutation message to participants at the 7th Congress of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution(CDR), which winds up on Sunday in this city.

Cuban President Raul Castro, who is on anofficial visit to Venezuela, sent a salutation message to participants at the 7th Congress of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution(CDR), which winds up on Sunday in this city.
Cuba´s First Vice President Jose Ramon Machado Ventura read the message sent by Raul Castro, who said that international compromises that can not be put off did not allow him to share with the major Cuban grassroots organization.
He said he is paying an official visit to Venezuela and that he will later particpate at the Latin American and Caribbean Summit on Integration and Development to take place this week in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil.
The Cuban Head of State said that the Congresss is a special opportunity to analyze, in a critical way, the resulsts thus far achieved and that, among the important tasks of the CDR, the defense of the Revolution continues to be the main mission of the organization, which was founded by Fidel Castro over 48 years ago.
Raul Castro called on CDR members to strengthen systematic actions againt all kinds of illegal acts that can affect the Cuban people, who are now hard at recovery works after the devastating passage of three hurricanes.
He said he will be closely following the development and results of the CDR Congress, concluded the message sent by the Cuban President to over 1,000 delegates and 200 guests at the forum.
