Raúl receives Mexican Foreign Minister

Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, received on the afternoon of September 8 the honorable José Antonio Meade Kuribreña, Mexico’s Foreign Relations Secretary, who is making an official  working visit to the country.

During the amicable meeting, the two leaders discussed the excellent state of bilateral relations, and other issues of regional interest, including the upcoming XXIV Iberoamerican Summit, to be held the Mexican city of Veracruz.

The distinguished guest was accompanied by Vanessa Rubio Márquez, undersecretary for Latin America and the Caribbean, and Juan José Bremer, Mexican ambassador in Cuba. On the Cuban side also participating was Rogelio Sierra Díaz, interim Minister of Foreign Relations.

Meade Kuribreña additionally met with Cabrisas Ruiz, a Council of Ministers vice president, prior to his conversation with the President.
