Selected Reflections by Fidel Castro Published in China
A compilation of portions of 38 reflections by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, dealing with peace and disarmament, was launched in this capital today, in a Chinese/Spanish edition.

A compilation of portions of 38 reflections by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, dealing with peace and disarmament, was launched in this capital today, in a Chinese/Spanish edition.
The book is a joint effort of the Cuban Embassy and the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament (APD), an organization the United Nations has granted its Message for Peace award, for its efforts to promote friendship and cooperation between this Asian nation and the rest of the world.
That Association's general secretary Zhu Rui, and representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice, the Chinese Communist Party, the Communist Youth, as well as former ambassadors in Latin America, attended the launch at the Cuban embassy.
Cuban ambassador Alberto Blanco stated that Fidel Castro reaffirms in those reflections his universal and visionary analysis of world events through his revolutionary lens. Chinese painter Song Bin, a member of the APD, presented Ambassador Blanco one of his own works, with words by Fidel Castro: "We are not in favor of war, but of peace among all peoples."
